Hang on the wall digital flickr photo frame
built using a old Dell laptop and a $10.00 frame from Target
uses wireless and the flickr API to download my contacts photos from Fickr. Photos displayed randomly and change every 20 seconds can also display by tag or tags

now i just need to hide the power wire

Nice job. I'd say put a houseplant next to it and run the cord behind it. Or, if you're not a renter and you like where it is, drill a hole in the wall behind the frame and drop it down to a hole that's already there (like a cable outlet, etc).

i am interested in doing something similar i set up a flicker account but i dont know how you stream the photos on the laptop can you give any tips?

Travis i experimented with making my own application using the API but i really like slickr which was all coded nicely for me it is basically just a screen saver with about every option for displaying stuff the API offers you can check it out here cellardoorsw.com/?page_id=4
