Nice capture (also I'd prefer a slightly less tight crop, esp. aon the top side).
Some weeks ago, we had a great halo here, but somehow, I was too lazy to get the camera and tripod out. After seeing this photo, I think that was a bad idea ;)

@iPhotograph - there is no crop on this pic i was on the road below this tree and had my lens as far as it would go at 24mm i really wish i would of shot this in raw... after seeing this i will never shoot in jpg mode again

Nice! I've never seen one of those before. The contrast against the tree was a good choice, much more dramatic than if it had been free...standing?
