The Mobile - Tensaw Delta is about 250,000 acres and is the State of Alabama's larges wetland. The delta provides a habitat for Alabama's last black bear population and endangered species including the Alabama Red Bellied Turtle. Most of the seafood caught on the Alabama coast depends on the delta as a nursery ground.
